Valley Arts (USA) Custom Pro T (Fender Telecaster)

Description

Not many of these about and owned from new by me. Never been out of the house. This is a 2003 Gibson era Valley Arts. Valley Arts was the original boutique superstrat brand played by the likes of Steve Lukather and Larry Carlton. Gibson resurrected the brand in 2002 and made VA guitars again from 2003 to 2006. Mike McGuire (who's signature is on the headstock) was the founder of the brand and he worked for the Gibson Custom shop at the time. The guitar has a very chunky c profile heavy birdseye maple neck and board (made by Warmoth), Locking Sperzel machine heads, Seymour Duncan stacked single coil sized humbuckers, ash body (also made by Warmoth for Gibson) and gold hardware. The guitar is totally stock. There is considerable lacquer checking all over the body and you can see this in two of the photos. I have seen several other VA guitars of the Gibson era - such as the Brent Mason Signature Custom Pro T (this guitar being the basis for that one) - and this seems to be a common issue. I suspect it has to do with the nitro lacquer used to finish these guitars off. Does not affect playability in any way and looks kinda cool. Sound-wise, this is really a tele on steroids. I doubt there's another one of these in Ireland. Comes with the original hardshell case (unmarked), all the case candy including the VA fret protector and the original mother of pearl pickguard. Not interested in trades. Thanks for looking.
