Yes, these are just plug and play. Are you certain that this is the problem ? Once they are plugged in and powered up they cannot be used again.

I think so that's my problem. I lost the key and got ecu decoded. Now my speedo is all over the place. Once you move its showing 80 mph and maxes out before out of 1st gear.

The original key is important to have. That model Punto has a body computer which is linked to the key. The body computer controls the cars electrical functions, window switches, steering wheel switches etc, and possibly clock functions. The ECU tends to be more engine, fuel, ignition, emissions etc. The original Fiat diagnostic tools would be a better way of checking.
