19) Details of Construction:
The hull is plated in 6mm plates, with doublers on the chines since 1993, internally the hull is strengthened with 2” x 2” angle irons spaced out at 2’ intervals. The transverse bulkhead forad for the crew’s quarters and the engine room aft are mainly intact and the water ballast tank functions.

20) History:
This barge operated on the Grand canal & Shannon systems for 31 years,
when it was purchased by a private owner. It went through several private owners until in 1992, when the current owners purchased her. In 1963 she was converted as a live aboard to a family for seven years. The timber superstructure for the coach house was removed from the older timber Dutch barge “Wayfarer” and fitted onboard at Shannon Harbour.
