@EmilyPurtell: Hi there, I have tested all the controls without the film and all the machanical operations appear to be working fine. The camera comes with a fresh battery and if there are any issues with the camera (or any of my sales) I will return your money. These cameras were very reliable and the Canon EOS brand was build on this model. It is a one owner camera and the gentleman took care of all his gear. Hope this helps, Pat
