The Pentacon Six is a fully mechanical, East German medium-format SLR camera produced from 1966 to 1992. It shoots 6x6cm square negatives on 120 film. Famous for offering a more affordable entry point to large-format photography than its Western counterparts, it pairs a hefty build with exceptional Carl Zeiss glass.
This legendary East German medium format SLR brought professional 6x6cm photography to the masses. Often described as a "35mm SLR on steroids," the Pentacon Six features a familiar eye-level or waist-level handling experience but captures massive negatives on 120 roll film.
