The Rolleicord Vb is the last model in a long line of Rolleicords which started in 1933 and ended in 1977 and were produced by Franke & Heidecke and later on by Rollei-Werke in Braunschweig, Germany. The Rolleicord Vb Twin Lens Reflex (TLR) camera was introduced to the world in 1962 and represents the height of achievement in the Rolleicord line of cameras that initially launched in 1933.The last Rolleicord Vb was produced in 1977 thus giving the camera a very respectful production run of 44 years across all models.
This one is the type 2 version produced from 1966 till 1977.
All Vb's are equipped with a Schneider-Kreuznach Xenar 1:3.5 75mm lens. Viewing lens is a Heidosmat-Anastigmat 1:3.2 75mm. Before both lenses is a Bayonet mount Size 1 for filters, lens hood, etc..
The shutter is a Synchro-Compur XV offering speeds from 1 till 1/500 second, a B setting, a selftimer and X flash-synchronisation.
The Camera is in good vintage condition and working well. Shutter fires on all speeds. The lens and the viewing lens are in excellent condition. Aperture and focus is working smooth. Film advancing and film counter are working well too. Magnifier is missing from the viewfinder and the lock on the flash sync doesn't work anymore. There is some paint loss and some dents and scratches on the body from age and use.
Camera comes with the original leather case and lens hood. Case is well worn and there is some stitching loose on it as well. All in all this is a well used camera that is in great working condition.
