Antique Victorian or Edwardian Cast Iron Tiled Fireplace circa 1890 to 1905

NOTE: you will need appropriate transport and help for this items as it is mainly cast iron and weighs a lot, two people minimum needed. It is stored in a greenhouse and there are spiders. But you should able to reverse your vehicle to the back gate and from there it’s a a few metres distance. I am unable to help unfortunately.

Beautiful, genuine late-Victorian to early-Edwardian cast iron tiled fireplace insert. An excellent architectural salvage piece in need of restoration.

This hybrid design features a heavily detailed decorative cast-iron canopy/hood adorned with a classical neo-Grecian urn and floral swags. It is flanked by its original runs of glazed ceramic side tiles in good condition featuring an elegant cream backdrop decorated with flowing green and pink foliate scrolls and classical urn imagery.

Overall Condition: Original, unrestored reclaimed condition. The cast iron shows surface rust patina but remains structurally solid with highly detailed casting definition. The tiles are intact, showing beautiful period coloring with typical light crazing consistent with age. (Note: The grate/firebox component is not included/visible).

• Era: Late Victorian / Aesthetic Movement / Early Edwardian (Circa 1890–1905)
