The set is based on CO2 Constant Gel and special CO2 microorganisms. CO2 production starts after approximately 24-48 hours, and one cartridge provides at least 40 days of consistent CO2 production

In the Start 60 version, CO2 is supplied using the CO2 Mini-Topper. The set also includes a CO2 Injector, which allows connection to a Dennerle Corner Filter 40/60.
