Vintage Modernist Stylised Glass Red Horse made in Belarus.

A striking vintage stylised art-glass horse in a deep, jewel-red glass by Neman (Belarus). The piece is elegantly modernist — its long, arched neck and simplified, angular body reduce the horse to a bold silhouette while glossy glass captures and refracts light. The finish is smooth and highly reflective; the color is a rich, saturated ruby/red (often achieved by gold or selenium glass formulas), giving the figure a warm glow from within. Perfect as a mantel focal point or display accent in a mid-century or eclectic collection.



Markings: bears a paper sticker, marked “Neman” or in Cyrillic “Неман” on the base or label.



Neman glassworks is based in Belarus and produced many decorative glass animals and sculptural pieces during the Soviet and post-Soviet eras. If unlabelled, this style most often dates from the mid-20th century through the 1980s — stylistically mid-century/modernist.
