@Gerry2112: Is the Guvner strictly a distortion pedal or can it do boost / overdrive or is it more for Metal guitarest's ? The bogner is out on trial with a friend of mine I'll have it back by this weekend. Cheers

The guvnor is more of a distortion pedal (hard clipping) than an overdrive although it sounds incredible on lower gain settings too but it's unlikely you'd use it as an 'always on' pedal. It won't clean up as well as a soft clipping overdrive pedal will. I would say it's more of a rock pedal than a metal pedal, it doesn't scoop well for trash, without an eq pedal behind it.
For what I'm doing these days, soft clipping overdrive suit better. Ain't playing Thin Lizzy in pubs anymore!
