A bent 9mm woodcarvers gouge made in Sheffield by Wm Marples in very good condition. The cast steel blade is outcannelled, sweep no 4, sharpened and ready for use. The hardwood handle is in good shape.
FREE ebook " Woodcarving for Beginners" with this gouge.

Sheffield Cast steel ( Crucible steel) was very expensive to make but its unique crystalline structure means it takes and retains a superior cutting edge and is highly prized by discerning woodworkers
