Dansette A35 Record Player (Refurbished)

This record player was Dansette's first foray into a fully stereophonic record playing system, and used valves. It used a separate internal amp, and an external speaker could be connected for stereo. However, the second amp within the player is broken beyond repair, and is now disabled. I also never had the matching speaker/cabinet (or ever seen one!). So the two stereo channels have been paralleled together just like any other single box record player of the time. It will now play all 78rpm records, and all modern vinyl 45 and 33 rpm records, mono or stereo out of its good sized inbuilt speaker. The turntable itself is a BSR as is the cartridge, and you can stack records to play one after the other. The stylus are still readily available. The only clue to the fact it was once intended to be stereo is the Dansette stereophonic label, and a forth control on front for balance which is now redundant. The other controls are volume, tone and on/off.
