Dansette vintage record player, serviced

This payer was known as the Dansette Popular and is a small two valve design dating from the early to mid 60's. It is a simple single play unit with volume and tone controls. It would have been all the rage with teenagers of the time. It has been fully serviced, and both valves have been changed for known tested good ones. Other components such as capacitors and resistors have been changed where necessary, as well as the pick-up cartridge which has been changed for a stereo compatible one. The early turnover cartridges fitted on such players were designed with only mono records in mind and tracked the records at quite a downward force. They didn't do stereo records any good, so this one now has a stereo compatible cartridge tracking at a lighter weight fitted. It will also of course player older 78 rpm shellac records as well, and you can still buy the stylus easily.
The cabinet has some fading to its covering (rexine) and their is a small amount of tarnishing on the fittings, which have a bronze effect, but nothing I would describe as ugly.
