The MX1s are compact speakers, but their discreet, subtle styling hides a remarkable audio performance. The 2-way design features a 130mm bass/mid-range driver and a 25mm tweeter. The sound is detailed, fast and clean - delivering the sort of infectious energy that really makes music a joy to listen to. The sturdy cabinet is rear-ported and designed to be used fairly close to a rear wall, providing a level of bass extension not normally possible from speakers of this size.

Acoustic and technical features

The MX1 speakers feature a distinct driver arrangement and a practical, modern design.

Inverted driver geometry: The tweeter is placed below the bass/mid driver, a tradition for Mission speakers. This design is intended to equalize the distance to the listener, which improves driver integration.

Rear-ported cabinet: The speakers have a bass reflex port on the back. For the best sound, they are designed to be used fairly close to a rear wall.

Grille design: The integrated waveguide in the grille is designed to correctly focus the sound towards the listener, and the speakers were tuned to sound best with the grilles on.

The MX1's crossover is bi-wireable, which allows for using separate cables for the high- and low-frequency drivers.
