Why go to all this trouble to 3D-model and 3D-print a replacement battery cover? Because this machine is worth it!

After a complete overhaul and service, this little machine sounds absolutely fantastic. It has a very heavy metal flywheel, and it can easily drive even old, difficult-to-turn cassette tapes that would struggle in many other players. That is quite an achievement for a machine of this age.

But what really stands out is the sound quality. It sounds beautiful. I ended up listening to it myself for quite a long time while testing it!

I spent more than 5 hours servicing, optimising and restoring this player. Do you think many people would put this much time and effort into a cassette player? And then sell it for so little?
This is purely a hobby for me. I'm not relying on these sales to make a living, so whether it sells or not doesn't really matter to me.
But honestly, this is a really, really good-sounding machine, and I would be very happy to keep it myself.
