Description

Classic mid-90s Sony CD player featuring a High Density Linear Converter and dedicated optical digital output. Clean, reliable transport and DAC pairing for any vintage or modern audio setup.
This unit represents a fantastic era of Sony audio manufacturing, utilizing robust build standards that far surpass modern budget digital players. The laser assembly tracks exceptionally well even on older, slightly marked media, thanks in part to the reliable KSS-series optical block lineage deployed in these mid-90s chassis. Ideal for an audiophile looking for a bulletproof transport to feed a high-end external DAC, or as a standalone source component for a dedicated stereo stack. All buttons on the front matrix have a crisp, positive tactile click, and the VFD display retains full brightness with zero fading or ghosting across the calendar grid. Grab a piece of golden-age hi-fi history built to last.
