Sony MZ-NH900 Hi-MD MiniDisc Recorder - Fully Tested - Complete Bundle

Sony MZ-NH900 Hi-MD portable recorder in very good overall condition. This model supports standard MiniDisc, MDLP, NetMD and Hi-MD formats, including ATRAC Type-S. Hi-MD was the final and most advanced stage of the MiniDisc format, allowing higher capacity discs and improved sound quality. NetMD enables PC to MiniDisc transfers via USB.

The unit has been serviced and tested.

Laser lens cleaned and worm gear lubricated. The front button PCB was removed and cleaned, resolving intermittent response from the menu and stop buttons. All controls are now working correctly. Battery terminal cleaned.

Playback tested with standard MD and Hi-MD discs. Operation is smooth, fast and quiet. Recording tested via optical and USB inputs and functioning correctly. Hi-MD disc formatting tested and working. USB port is in excellent condition. Charging is working as expected.

Cosmetic condition is very good for its age. A few marks on the back. Front and sides present very well.

Included in the sale is the original backlit Sony RM-MC38EL remote, original Sony earphones, Sony AC-ES305K 3V adapter (cable insulation was previously damaged and patched; working, but replacement recommended for long-term use), optical cable, and original Sony NH-10WM rechargeable battery. The battery charges and holds some charge but runtime is limited due to age, so replacement is recommended.
