My standard is simple: I want to provide a player that has been properly serviced and is ready to enjoy.

1. Motor serviced and lubricated for stable and consistent tape speed.
2. Tape head cleaned and serviced, with both left and right channels working perfectly. The head is in excellent condition.
3. Circuit board is in very good condition, with the electronics carefully checked.
4. Stereo cassette playback and stereo FM radio, giving you a truly immersive listening experience.
5. Speed calibrated using a 3 kHz test tape to ensure the correct standard tape speed. This is very important. With a vintage cassette player, incorrect tape speed can completely ruin the listening experience, especially when listening to music.

The WM-FX131 is especially enjoyable with vocals — voices sound warm, natural and very emotional. It is a lovely player for anyone who appreciates the sound of cassette tapes.

With a vintage cassette player, simply being told “it works” doesn't mean much. If an old machine hasn't been properly serviced and carefully maintained, you may never get the listening experience it was capable of delivering.

The price is for the player only. Batteries and cassette tapes are not included.
