I have owned this top of range Cassette deck from new since the 90's.
I rarely used it and has been in storage in my house for a long time.
I have powered it up and it is working perfectly.
Its a very nice design in that the cassettes front load just like a CD Player!

There are some marks on the top of the unit that would not be seen when rack mounted other than that is in great condition.
It does have a remote connection but I don't ever remember having a remote for the unit.I have checked that one can be bought on line for €15 but it's not needed to work the unit.
