Hi the shelves slot into bars and you have to space the bars as wide as you want to fit the shelves. You can probably find more info on Algot in YouTube, as it’s discontinued from ikea. Shelves are super stuffy and fold quite a lot of weight. You can still find all manuals online for Ikea. The total size is a bit more tricky to determine. The height of the side bars (the rails on which you hang the shelves) is 84 cm. The wide shelve that is used in the middle is 60x18 cm and the short shelves are 40x18. However there is also a bracket for the shelf, and that is 1,5cm. So the total width of the shelf is 60+40+40+(4x1,5) so around 146cm
