Trek FX2 2021 (Gen 2) sports hybrid bike XL

Description

For sale is my well loved and maintained Trek FX2, in grey with yellow-blue-green lettering, which, in my opinion, is the best-looking frame in this series. The size is XL, 60cm, would suit people 190cm and taller. It has hidden cables in its aluminium frame, hydraulic disc brakes, comfortable 35mm tyres and 3x8 gearing, so it can climb hills and go fast on a flat road (I used it for my cycling club Sunday spins and kept up with racing machines). It also comes with full-size SKS mudguards, so great in the rain, too.

I serviced and cleaned the bicyle recently, and it's ready to ride away. Other than some scuffs to the paint, the bike is in excellent condition. Reason for sale: I'm saving for a racing bike.

Hi my FX3 stolen today. Need to replace. No offers below this?

amfioksus 4 months ago

@mvdwant I'm very sorry to hear about your situation! That's a terrible feeling. Feel free to make an offer, but I'm currently away. If you need an urgent bike, perhaps I'm not the best seller (I'll be back on July 1st).

@mvdwant: Still interested?

@josevitorino Offensively low offer.

@callum.f You've been reported for abuse. Find a different passtime.

Hey €170 offered if you change your mind on price purely due to the damaged paint work does affect its value.

amfioksus 1 month ago

Plenty of watchers - any reasonable offers? If it doesn't sell here, it's going on eBay. I'd rather sell locally.

@Albert McFalbert Thanks for the offer. I'd need something closer to the asking price.

Can I ask how the paint chips happened? Was that a lock bouncing around or something?

amfioksus 4 weeks ago

@Albert McFalbert The paint chips were there when I bought it and it looks like it's from a D-lock bouncing around, yes.

Albert McFalbert 3 weeks ago

Thanks for the reply. The paint combo is nice, but the chipping is significant, and it’s third-hand already. I’ll have a think, but for now I will leave my offer stand as is.

amfioksus 3 weeks ago

@Albert McFalbert No problem. I got it 2nd hand, but gave it a proper service, cleaning, degreasing, new Shimano grease , new bearings, including wheel hubs, new cables, new hydraulic fluid, so it runs better than before I bought it. I agree with the chipping, but it makes no difference to the quality of the bike, the way it rides. It's worth more than your offer.

@Albert McFalbert I'd sell for 350

Just got a health check of the bike from a cycle clinic: all good!

armean89 2 days ago

Hey buddy, is this still alive? I could come get it for 250 tomorrow.

amfioksus 2 days ago

@armean89 it's still here, riding like a dream, but 250 is too low. Happy to sell for a very close offer to asking price. This bike holds its value and is priced to match other similar bikes here on Adverts.

Thanks bud, great bike, but the price is too high for me.
