Superb light hybrid bike in mint condition , purchased just 2.5 years ago from Altitude Waterford for €2,600. Receipt in photos.

Very little mileage done , and all greenway miles.

Bolt holes for pannier bags front and rear , could make a great touring bike also.

Comes with a number of extras including bottle cage, mudguards , and two rear Cateye lights. Bike is ready to go.

The Trek FX Sport 5 Carbon (2023) is a lightweight, high-performance fitness hybrid built around a 400 Series OCLV carbon frame and fork for fast, efficient riding with added comfort.

It features a Shimano GRX 1x 11-speed drivetrain for smooth, simple shifting and a wide gear range, paired with powerful hydraulic disc brakes for reliable stopping in all conditions.

Rolling on wide 700x40c tubeless-ready tyres, it delivers speed, stability, and comfort across road, cycle paths, and light gravel. Clean design touches like internal cable routing and accessory mounts keep it sleek and practical.

The difference between this and an entry-level FX 1 is substantial. The FX 1 is an aluminium entry-level hybrid weighing around 12.7 kg, whereas the FX Sport 5 uses a full carbon frame and fork and weighs around 10.1 kg.

You're getting approximately 2.6 kg less bike, a significantly higher-spec drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, carbon construction and much more performance-oriented components.

The Shimano GRX 1×11 setup is particularly well suited to the FX Sport 5. It gives simple, reliable shifting with a wide 11–42T range, making the bike equally comfortable on fast roads, hills, cycleways and light gravel.

@Ljulka Thanks for the offer. I appreciate it, but €850 is a bit too low for me. I’ve already dropped the price from 1500 originally. So could you come up a bit closer to 1200? The bike is immaculate , and hardly used. Great specs for the price. Let me know what your best offer would be, thank you

@Ljulka also , just to note that this is the top end carbon sport edition of the Trek FX series, much lighter frame than the aluminum frames, and way better components

I completely respect your valuation of the bike. However, given its age, the availability of newer models, and the fact that carbon isn’t a major priority for me personally, I can’t justify going higher. I’m also travelling from Dublin, and there are similar options closer to me. Buying new also comes with a warranty and the Cycle to Work saving.

So, with respect, €850 would be my maximum offer. I completely understand if that’s too low for you.

@Ljulka no problem . It's a 2.5 year old bike that was €2600 new. €1200 is a fair asking price , €850 is not reflective of it's value so will decline your offer. If you could come up a little bit more at all , let me know . Thanks
