@Software Solutions: you are prob right, they looked genuine when we bought, as you can see they are brand new and we bought in Istanbul and were told they were the originals, although we bought 36 in Kildare village recently and we had to go for a 3 in the end, in blue but the same 501 in grey fit in a 36..and waist size were diff when we held them up even though both were 36 just diff colours
