Housekeeper required for Maynooth Lodge Private Nursing Home, Crinstown, Maynooth, Co. Kildare. JOB PURPOSE: To work as part of the team responsible for the overall cleanliness and hygiene of the Nursing Home. To interact with residents and colleagues in a positive and helpful way at all times. Full-time position. MUST HAVE a minimum of two years working experience in housekeeping in a work environment. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Housekeeping: 1. Prioritise workload on a daily basis. 2. Activity Therapist (Maynooth) (Kildare)
Activity Therapist required for Maynooth Lodge Private Nursing Home, Crinstown, Maynooth, Co. Kildare. Full-time position. To plan and implement activities appropriate to Residents needs and requests. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Activities: 1. Help Residents to socialise within the Nursing Home, and provide a variety of activities that cater for all tastes. 2. Plan and initiate monthly rolling / individual programmes, and encourage Residents to maintain preexisting hobbies. 3. Encourage Staff Members, Relatives and Friends to participate in the Nursing Home's activities. 4. Accompany Residents, where possible, to off-site activities, which may occasionally take place outside normal working hours. 5. Physiotherapist (Donegal)
We are currently seeking to hire a Physiotherapist (ISCP membership essential). The role involves predominantly working with elderly residents in our private nursing homes; one located at Lisfannon, Fahan, Co. Donegal and two located at Convoy, Co. Donegal. OVERVIEW OF ROLE:: Design and development of focused individual care plans and group exercise sessions to maintain and improve quality of life for the resident community. Setting outcome measures using research based functional and fitness assessments. Providing ongoing one to one physiotherapy sessions to residents based on completion of initial baseline assessments. Maintaining and updating individual resident records. Working hand in hand with the home medical team to integrate physiotherapy as an integral part of the care plans. Clients would include predominantly (but not exclusively) geriatrics with physical and mental pathologies (stroke, Alzheimers and related dementias) right through to able bodied and active ageing adults. Third Level Degree in Physiotherapy qualification required. Current membership of ISCP essential. Experience either working with or knowledge of a long term geriatric population would be greatly beneficial but not essential. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. This is an ideal position for a qualified graduate with a genuine interest in working with the ageing population. Will require access to own transport (locations to be covered include Fahan, Co. This full-time position to cover our three nursing homes in Donegal; one located at Lisfannon, Fahan, County Donegal and two located at Convoy, County Donegal. Candidates MUST have Degree in Occupational Therapy AND current registration with AOTI. JOB PURPOSE: To facilitate the purposeful, occupational development and maintenance of residents with mental, emotional, and physical disabilities by assessing, planning and administering person centred care plans based on physical and psychological conditions in residents to maximize their levels of independence in everyday life. Occupational therapy is client-centered, concerned with promoting health and well-being through occupation. It involves enabling individuals and groups to do the things that they need and want to do in everyday life, and assists people to develop and maintain a meaningful lifestyle. The focus is on three areas as follows: The individual person - improving or maintaining their level of physical, cognitive (thinking), affective (emotional) and social ability. The environment - manipulating or adapting the physical, social, cultural and institutional environment. The task - analyzing the task, comparing the demands of the task with the individual's abilities, and changing the task to make it possible for the person to do.
