City Wonders
Location: Dublin 2, Dublin
At inception, the focus of our core brand “Dark Rome” was to transform the tour operator playing field.
All big ideas have small beginnings and our humble roots echo that lasting truism. Our initial concept was to take a small group of visitors around the historic center of Rome and share stories that they would never hear otherwise; like the “dark” mysteries and legends that ironically bring a city to life. That groundbreaking tour, “The Dark Heart of Rome” (which still runs to this very day), was so successful that it led to others; many others in fact. And from one city to the next, from one country to another, we grew into the global brand we are today – City Wonders.
We set limits on group size, found the best tour guides proficient in English (and now French , German,Spanish and Portuguese too), sought out the most reliable headphone and bus companies, brokered agreements to skip the lines and gained VIP access to practically every major museum and monument that mattered most to our clientele.
Over the past ten years, we have strategically added to our comprehensive suite of services, inventing original tours and evolving old favorites, determined and committed to developing the most well-rounded view possible of the most important cities and venues in the world. Full-day tours have allowed us to get off the beaten track, providing unique opportunities for our guests to explore key destinations a little deeper.
We are excited and committed to “What’s Next” and we relentlessly continue to research and identify new and intriguing destinations where we can create amazing tour experiences for you – priceless memories that will last a lifetime…and beyond.
What’s our ultimate goal? That through our exclusively branded tours, each and every valued guest will come to love Italy, France and the UK just as much as we do by experiencing famous sights through unexpected insight.
That’s the City Wonders Way!
