Selling two classic Yamaha arranger workstations as repair/refurbishment projects. Both instruments come complete with their original, correct Yamaha power supplies. Willing to sell them together as a bundle or individually if you only need one.
Here is the exact honest breakdown of both units:
1. Yamaha PSR-550 (Great Cosmetic Condition)
Condition: Excellent cosmetic condition and very clean, as seen in the photo. Main chassis and display screen light up beautifully.
The Issues: A number of physical keys currently do not play sound when pressed. This is highly likely a standard contact cleaning issue (oxidized rubber key pads) common for its age. The original internal floppy drive is dead.
Bonus Included: Comes with its original power supply and includes a separate, uninstalled OLED Gotek floppy emulator drive. Once the key contacts are cleaned and the Gotek is dropped in, this will be a fantastic, fully upgraded machine.
2. Yamaha PSR-8000 (Flagship Workstation)
The Issue: Suffers from an internal digital timing/buffer fault.
Symptoms: Pressing a key triggers erratic double or triple notes, and the internal accompaniment rhythm engine stutters.
Floppy Drive: The built-in floppy drive appears to be in good shape. It loaded a disk smoothly without any screeching, clicking, or grinding noises.
Recent Work: Brand new internal backup batteries were just installed, but the digital issue persists.
Cosmetics & Extras: Comes with its original power supply. Physical chassis, buttons, dials, screen, and premium keybed are completely intact and clean. Ideal for a deep-level motherboard repair or harvesting rare flagship replacement parts.
