Cuda Trace 16" Kids Bike – Only 6.8kg – Suits Age 4-6

Cuda Trace 16" in pink/purple. Suitable for roughly age 4 to 6 (seat height adjusts from about 46.5cm to 58cm).

The big thing with this bike is the weight – just 6.8kg thanks to the alloy frame. Most 16" bikes in the shops are 10-12kg, which is a huge amount for a small child to push around and control. A light bike makes a massive difference when they're learning: easier to pedal, easier to balance, easier to pick up themselves after a fall. Cuda are no longer in business, so these are getting hard to find second hand.

Single speed, rim brakes front and rear with short-reach junior levers so small hands can actually pull them. Mudguards, chainguard and a rear light are on it.

Condition – honest description: the bike has been stored outside, so there is some surface rust in places (chain, axle nuts, a few bolts and spokes) and the paint has the usual scuffs and chips you'd expect from a kids' bike. It's all cosmetic. Mechanically it's sound and rides great – wheels spin true, both brakes work properly, chain runs fine, nothing seized. A clean and a bit of chain oil and it's good to go.
