@BarryMc1 we put the base and mattress on, husband tall and had to clear the bed end!

Any photos of the headboard without the pillows and of the base of the bed? How old is the bed and any idea where it was bought originally? We wouldn't need it so high . Thanks

@JasSun The bed is dismantled now. Bought about 9 years ago in mullens auction. It is a bed frame so you would need to put marine ply on the frame to sit the mattress onto. We have done this on another bed frame and it works brilliantly and is also super comfortable. I’ll post pics of the headboard.

@JasSun My husband just said you could put a thinner base on instead of marine ply, our base was particularly chunky as it has drawers.
