vintage Chinon lens

In good clean condition no marks or fungus on lens

Brand: Chinon
• Focal length: 10–30 mm zoom
• Maximum aperture: f/1.8 (very fast for its era)
• Mount: D-mount (standard for many classic 8mm / Super 8 cine cameras)
• Construction: All-metal barrel, “LENS MADE IN JAPAN”
• Distance scales in both feet and meters, aperture ring (visible markings down to f/1.8), and a silver focus/zoom ring with the characteristic black-and-silver checker pattern. This is a cine (movie) lens, not a still-photography lens for 35mm or modern digital cameras. It was designed for 8mm / Super 8 film cameras. The very fast f/1.8 aperture made it excellent for low-light filming.
You can still find these listed as “Chinon 10-30mm f/1.8 D-mount zoom with reflex viewfinder.” They are collectible among Super 8 / vintage cine enthusiasts.
