THE FAULT
Horizontal lines and banding across the built-in screen. It's constant, not intermittent. The screen is usable but not pleasant for long sessions.

Output to an external monitor is completely clean and perfect. That rules out the graphics cards and the logic board — the fault is in the lid assembly itself. Happy to demo this for you before you buy.

So: a cheap and very capable desktop Mac if you already have a monitor, or a strong parts/repair project. Note that repair isn't worth it — Dublin shops charge €600–700 for a 16-inch display assembly, as Apple only replaces the whole lid. Hence the price.

EVERYTHING ELSE WORKS
Keyboard, trackpad, Touch Bar, Touch ID, all four Thunderbolt ports, camera, mics, speakers, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, charging. Apple Diagnostics passed.

BATTERY
116 cycles only, health reported as "Good". Genuinely low use for a machine this age.

CONDITION
Excellent cosmetically. No dents, no cracks, casing and top case near-mint. Photos are honest — ask if you want more.

INCLUDED
USB-C charger and cable (original Apple one). Worth noting a charger is essential if you plan to use it closed with an external monitor, as macOS needs mains power for that.

Wiped and freshly installed, signed out of iCloud, Activation Lock disabled, left at the welcome screen ready for you to set up. Serial available on request.
