Tatsu and Jefferson are in the state of Khadym, undercover as weapon dealers. Their mission is to retrieve Sofia Ramos and bring her back to Gotham City, as the killer Ishmael, following an order of Ra's al Ghul, kidnapped her. The third member of the team, former Markovian criminal Kaliber, searching his redemption, will send them a signal when Sofia will be on sight. As they wait, they discuss their role on this new team and if it's wrong or right to kill your enemy.

Kaliber spots Sofia in battle armor, waiting: he knows it's a trap, but there won't be a better chance to take her. He signals the thing to his comrades, and then remains watching over them with a sniper rifle. Jefferson and Tatsu approach Sofia, trying to make her understand they are there to help her: the girl is still drugged and under the effect of Ra's, telling them her minds feels on fire and that she hears the words of the Demon in the wind. She must fight and kill them: as she attacks, assassin hidden under the sand appear. Kaliber and Black Lighting manage to defeat, or kill, all the assassins while Katana and Sofia fight one against the other: Tatsu manages to make Sofia realize they are not enemies, and she decides to come with them.

But Jefferson is disquiet: if this was a trap, where is Ishmael? The leader of the Outsiders could not be more right in asking himself the question, as the killer is in Gotham City, looking for Cass and Duke. He doesn't want to attack them, but to show them that the Bat deceived and betrayed them, and that they should marry the Demon's cause.
