Description

For sale is a fantastic, near-complete collection of the classic 1980s D.C. Thomson boys' adventure and sports weekly comic, Champ. This massive bundle includes 76 issues running continuously from Issue #11 (12th May 1984) all the way to the final Issue #87 (19th October 1985), missing only the first 10 issues of the comic's entire history as well as issue 24.
Because this run covers almost the entire lifespan of the title before it was absorbed into Victor, it is an incredible instant-collection or gap-filler for any serious British comic collector.

Collection Highlights:
* Full Spike Merger Era: Includes the highly collectible early transition issues from May 1984 right after Spike merged into Champ (including Issue #11 and onward).
* The Final Issue (#87): Includes the rare final issue from October 1985, which is notoriously difficult to find due to low end-of-run print numbers.
* Classic Comic Strips: Packed with legendary stories and artwork featuring We Are United, Iron Barr, Puss and Boots, Dennis the Menace, and more!

Condition:
These are genuine, vintage, mid-1980s newsprint comics. They have been read and loved, so please expect typical age-related wear including minor spine creases, slight page yellowing, and the newsagent pen-mark/name on the cover as well as hole punching due to folder storage. Overall, they are in good, clean, readable condition for their age. Please see photo for a closer look at the general condition.
