Description
This is a commemorative military service certificate from the Austro-Hungarian Empire, likely dating from the turn of the 20th century. These certificates, known as "obsitlevél" in Hungarian, were given to soldiers upon completion of their military service. The central figure in the image is a soldier, whose portrait would have been cut out and pasted into the document.
The text at the bottom, "Szolgálatiidőm emlékeül," translates to "In memory of my time of service".
