Origin: Introduced in 1986 as one of the earliest dedicated protective helmets for hurling and camogie.
Design Features: An injection-molded, ventilated plastic upper shell paired with a classic white metal wire faceguard and chin piece.
Safety Context: While Mycro became the first brand to pass the official NSAI I.S.355 safety standards later in its development, these early vintage variants lack the modern safety certifications required for official GAA match play today
