Rare grouping of original world war 1 medals and First aid bandage.

This grouping consists of a second class iron cross, The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (Hindenburg Cross) and a first aid bandage kit.

Iron cross:
The Iron Cross is a historical German military decoration that has evolved from a symbol of bravery and Prussian military tradition to a symbol with complex and sometimes conflicting meanings. Originally established in 1813 by King Frederick William III of Prussia, it was awarded for acts of bravery during wartime, regardless of social status.

The Iron Cross Second Class was awarded for a single act of bravery in the face of the enemy that were above and beyond the call of duty.

Hindenburg Cross:
The Honour Cross of the World War 1914/1918 (German: Das Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges 1914/1918), commonly referred to as the Hindenburg Cross or the German WWI Service Cross, was established by Field Marshal Paul von Hindenburg, President of the German Weimar Republic, by an order dated 13 July 1934, to commemorate service of the German people during the First World War. This was Germany's first official service medal for soldiers of Imperial Germany who had taken part in the war, and where they had since died it was also awarded to their surviving next-of-kin.

First aid bandage:
These were given to all the soldiers as part of their provisional supplies in order to tend to the wounds inflicted in the war.

These are in good antique condition with wear and patina from age.
