Original German WWI Hindenburg Cross with Swords - Maker Marked (R.V.)

Original Ehrenkreuz des Weltkrieges 1914–1918 mit Schwertern (Hindenburg Cross with Swords), awarded to frontline combatants of the First World War.

This example features crossed swords beneath the cross, confirming the combatant (frontline) version. The obverse displays the dates 1914 / 1918 within a laurel wreath. Complete with its original black–white–red ribbon, showing honest period wear.

The reverse is stamped with the maker’s mark “R.V.”, number “91”, and a copyright symbol, attributed to Rudolf Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida (Germany) — a known and official manufacturer of this award.
