Hi, can you tell me more about this ? How do you come about having it ? Did it belong yo Shane or is it just a copy of one ? Thanks Scott

Every birth certificate is a copy including yours and mine. If the registrars were to rip out the original pages it would not take long for nothing to be left. This is his legally issued birth certificate by the British Government

Hi, thanks for the reply.

I get and understand all the legalities of it, I was just asking if it was an "original copy" from a Registry office or a photocopied version ?

Also, if genuine, I was interested as how you came about having somebody else's birth certificate ? Nothing sinister, just out of general interest as I am interested in the item as I am a huge Pogues and Shane fan. Did somebody give you it or did you apply for it ?

It is an 'original copy' from a Registry Office on official watermarked paper. Not illegal to have or display. I have a contact in England who is a genealogist, can access them legally and be paid for their services

Fantastic

What's your best price ?

I could knock a few quid off but not much. 40 is my best offer. Not worth doing it any cheaper and I kind of like having it myself as a Pogues fan too
