Vintage Fairground Fiberglass Carousel Deer: Leaping Ride Figure with Original Character c1960
Description
Vintage Fairground Carousel Deer: Leaping Ride Figure with Original Character
A charming vintage fairground ride figure in the form of a leaping deer, full of mid-century storybook appeal. She has large blue eyes with painted lashes, tall alert ears, a bright red smile and a raised tail. The moulded red saddle and blue studded breast strap are complemented by airbrushed markings and yellow and white socks.
Honest, attractive wear from a working life, with chips, scuffs and paint loss throughout, particularly to the hooves, ears, tail and saddle. This adds to her patina and fairground character. Sold as found and not suitable for use as a ride.
A striking display piece for a home, shop, café, studio or collection.
