Description
This is a 1936 commemorative medal honoring Commandant Guesnet, the founder of the French Firefighters' Orphans Organization.
One side of the medal has Commandant Guesnet, depicted in profile wearing a uniform. The reverse side reads "ŒUVRE DES PUPILLES DES SAPEURS-POMPIERS FRANÇAIS - 1936 // HOMMAGE / AU / COMMANDANT / GUESNET".
This medal was Produced during the French Third Republic (1870–1940).
This medal is in good vintage condition and is 1 inch(2.5 cm) in diameter. Weighs 6.1 grams. Silver plated Bronze.
