Description
Vintage item. A scarce original circa 1930's 'National Federation of the Women's Institutes badge', gilded brass oval, the fretted centre bearing a 'Welsh Red Dragon', flanked by a red enamel rose and Canadian maple leaf, with Welsh title 'FY NGWLAD A'M CARTREF' with English translation (For Home and Country) inlaid in green enamel; the reverse impressed with maker's details 'Fattorini & Sons Ltd Bradford Works Birmingham' (a style used between 1933 and 1939). Excellent condition, original pin fittings and condition.Width 27mm. Height 22mm. Box for display purposes only. Please check my other ads as well.
