The Scent:
It opens with a striking, complex burst of zesty bergamot, green violet leaf, and a distinct herbal touch of rosemary. The heart completely transforms the fragrance, introducing a rich, luxurious, and powdery Florentine iris (orris) that beautifully tames a heavy dose of smoky frankincense, warm amber, and sweet cistus. The dry down is incredibly deep, dark, and comforting—leaving an opulent trail of smooth leather, rich agarwood (oud), earthy patchouli, sandalwood, and cedarwood.

The Vibe:
Dark, mysterious, and intensely artistic. If the original Interlude is a wild, raging fire, Black Iris is the serene, glowing embers. It feels like wearing an immaculate dark velvet coat on a freezing winter night, sitting in a dimly lit gothic cathedral, or holding an aura of quiet, untouchable power. It is exceptionally rich, incredibly smooth, and boasts the legendary, beast-mode longevity Amouage is famous for.
