Description
This nice back-electret vocal mic was made in the early 80's by Audio-Technica, and was part of their Professional Series. A cut-sheet from 1984 mentions the electronics having been upgraded for that year. The frequency response is 70Hz-18kHz - the low frequencies are purposely filtered to reduce handling noise and feedback from those lower frequencies that are not required with an onstage vocal mic. They have a beefy low-end above 70Hz due to a controlled proximity-effect, and very articulate high-end thanks to the condenser design. An A+ vocal stage microphone. - JS
