If you run a hardware-heavy studio or a massive wall of synths, you already know what this is. The Speck Electronics Xtramix is legendary for its unparalleled routing capabilities and massive input count in a compact 4U footprint.

Based on the serial number (3954), this is a desirable Version 1 unit from the original 1992–1995 production run.

I am parting with this beast only because I am slimming down my setup and transitioning to a more minimal workflow. Due to the size, weight, and value of this unit, this listing is strictly for local collection only—I will not be shipping it.

The V1 Spec, Sound & Expectations
This is a classic 1990s analog desk. It features all unbalanced inputs and outputs, which is perfect for synths and drum machines as they are natively unbalanced anyway.

A quick note on expectations: If you are looking for a clinical, sterile, dead-silent modern digital environment, this is not the mixer for you. This unit has been fully serviced, but it inherently retains the natural analog noise floor typical of high-quality 90s studio gear. It has a real analog soul—it glues electronic hardware setups together beautifully, adds subtle vintage character, and handles hot synth signals like a champ.

Recently Serviced & Cleaned: It has just been professionally gone over, cleaned, and fully tested. It is in great operational condition. I have included photos from the actual service bench in the listing so you can see the work done.

Upgraded Custom Power Supply: The original Speck power supplies are notorious for aging poorly and injecting heavy hum. This unit comes with a brand-new, custom-built power supply that properly rectifies the signal and keeps the noise floor exactly where it’s supposed to be for a vintage desk.

Original PSU Included: I will include the original power supply as well, though please note it is currently not correctly rectifying the signal (hence the upgrade). It’s there if you ever want to have it rebuilt as a backup.
