Nintendo Heaven - IPS Display and Audio Amp Modded Original Nintendo Gameboy Pocket - In lovely original Pink Shell - optional flash cart - #393

This is a fully working Gameboy Pocket with upgraded/modded display
This is the pink version and the shell and lens has been maintained
Boom!

The Gameboy pocket was the second generation of the original gameboy. It was smaller (fits in the pocket) and used less batteries/power.

It was released back in 1996 so that's nearly 30 years ago now!!!

DISPLAY
=============================
The original Gameboy pocket screen had no backlight, this essential upgrade includes a larger backlight screen with touch control over the brightness via hidden touch sensor on the top of the case
This IPS lcd is full width (some are narrower and need a narrower replacement lens to not show the gaps
It has built in touch controls to change the brightness and select different color palettes (see pictures)

AUDIO
=============================
They original gameboy, gameboy pocket and gameboy color also had AWFUL audio and it degrades over the years
I have recapped the audio related power and filter capacitors on this board to restore sound volume
further audio modding available on request (€25 for a new audio amplifier flex board to be added to boost audio volume)

SHELL
=============================
Original shell. Some internal trimming to fit the new IPS display, other than that it is all original!
