"Aubrey's Natural History of Wiltshire" by John Aubrey. Best Known today for his "Brief Lives, the author wrote the manuscripts which make up "The Natural History of Wiltshire" between the years 1656 & 1691. They did not appear in print until 1847, when they were edited by John Britton for publication by the Wiltshire Topographical Society.
