About the Author
Niall Weldon was born in Rush, Co. Dublin in 1922. He started working at Aer Lingus in 1947 and held a number of managerial and other roles there before retiring in 1988. He has subsequently acted as chairman of Beaumont Hospital, director of RTÉ and chairman of The Irish Aviation Museum, amongst other positions. He is the author of two previous books: Pioneers in Flight: Aer Lingus and the Story of Aviation in Ireland (Liffey Press) & Lengthening Shadows (Linden Press). Google Books.
