If you have read my other review you will know that this is part of series and EHA was once as famous as Kipling. EHA was naturalist in India in the 1890s and wrote extensively about the wildlife and the people who met and knew. This is not a hunting and fishing book but rather a very gentle and accessible study of the "tribes" of animals and insects that lived in and around his bungalow and work area. Don't thinks it's boring - it's not. The illustrations are stunning, the insights charming and its written so well - I read this first and then brought all the others so will you.
