This is a collection of 9 Banknotes issued by the UK army at their bases to their soldiers.
These are British Armed Forces Special Vouchers (BAFSV), specifically from the 4th and 6thSeries.
​Issued by the Army Council, these vouchers were used as a form of military currency (scrip) by British military personnel and their families in overseas territories (such as post-WWII Germany and Austria). The goal was to prevent military pay from flooding the local black markets and destabilizing local economies.
