This Isle of Man Government 1961 TEN SHILLING banknote is a pre-decimal issue that blends regal elegance with Norse heritage. It features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II on the right side with the Triskelion emblem; three armoured legs in motion, reflecting the island’s unique cultural identity and autonomy within the British Crown dependencies. Viking ship on the reverse. Designer: Pietro Annigoni.
Demonetized 31 October 2013. The overall design of Manx pound banknotes had not changed until 1961. In that year, the government stopped commercial banks from issuing their own banknotes. In very good condition. See photos. €25.
