▪︎ Known as " The Plastic Pound " This particular note issued in 1983 was Revolutionary as it was printed on Tyvek a material Licensed from Dupont , making it the first and only Plastic £1 Note in the British Isles. Despite its innovative design , the plastic £1 note was short lived and replaced by a paper Issue just four years after its introduction.
